So we'll practice a few sun salutations. There are many different kinds. We'll do a very simple one. We place the feet hip-distance apart. The heel slightly out so the sides of the feet are parallel to the sides of the mat. Lift the toes, spread the toes, and then place them back onto the mat. So you can feel a real grounding feeling. Engage the legs, pull in the navel, slightly. Keep the belly engaged. Inhale the shoulders up. Exhale the shoulders back and down. On the next inhale, the arms up. Touch the hands, exhale. Fold forward. Inhale. Come halfway up, hands on the shins. Exhale, hands down. Step back to downward facing dog. Lower the heels towards the mat. Inhale to a high plank, shoulders above the wrists. Exhale, lower all the way down. Hug the shoulders in. Inhale. Come up to cobra. Exhale to downward facing dog. Inhale here. Exhale. Bend the knees slightly. Look in between the hands. Inhale. Come forward, feet between the hands. Exhale. Fold over straight legs. Inhale. Come all the way up. Hands above the head. Exhale. Hands together in front of the heart. Perfect.
